About Us
For the families of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, the annual Ventura County Greek Festival is much more than a cultural event.
It is an opportunity to share a part of ourselves with the community. Who we are. Where we come from. What we believe.
As stewards of a faith that can trace its existence directly to the Apostles, we strive to live by Christ’s Word. It is our heartfelt wish that you enjoy yourselves during the Festival weekend, but please remember that we are here year-round and always are prepared to help those in need, regardless of faith.

ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Thank You for Your Endless Support!
Over the last 40 plus years, this is one of our proudest Non-Profit community events we host for all to enjoy.
All proceeds go directly into our Building Fund to pay off the mortgage for our new location.
Yes, thanks to your support we did indeed complete the new church building and grounds at Santa Rosa road and are using it as a base to reach out and give back to the community in numerous ways.
Looking forward to extending our ‘PHILOXENIA’ Greek for “guest-friendship” the ancient Greek cultural concept of hospitality, generosity, and courtesy shown to visitors through great food, music, and dance.
